Mario is a lifelong Croydon resident. He was state educated locally before being the first in his family to go on to university. He has worked for Heineken as their Public Affairs Manager and in Parliament as a political adviser for Gavin Barwell, MP for Croydon Central (2010-17).
He has experience working in PR and Marketing at the University of Surrey and the 1994 Group of research-intensive universities. He now works in Government communications. Mario sits on the Coulsdon Safer Neighbourhood team, the management committee of the Coulsdon Community Centre and on two of Coulsdon’s incredible Residents’ Associations.
